Citizen Kane-Non-Linear Movies

What do you think of the non-linear structure of Citizen Kane?
I think it was an actual well put idea. The basic concept of the movie was the only reason that it could have happened. It actually flowed real well together.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of this structure?
It makes you wonder why the story is being tossed around. As we have those thoughts we continue to think and think and think. As long as we keep thinking and wondering why, we get more interested in the plot. I don't really think there any disadvantages.
Do you agree with the assessment that Citizen Kane is the greatest movie of all time? Why or why not?
No, I do not agree. I believe that the story, the plot, and the conflict just weren't... Complicated enough, it seemed too simple. Maybe there could have been more added, but those are just my views.

Freaks and Geeks Reflection

My favorite episode that we have seen was actually the fourth(Kim Kelly is my Friend). In which, there are a lot of changes in the characters. We actually get to know them a lot better. Sam, pretty much realizes how much of a geek he is and throws away all of his Tonka trucks. Lindsay and Kim are actually a lot closer now and are pretty much "friends". Nick, was still be his same old self, trying to make peace and getting at Lindsay. Daniel, of course, not showing his to emotional self, but he handled the situation pretty well. Other than, it's basically foreshadowing of what could happen between characters later on in the show.

Screenplay Mistake

Page. 1

--------------------------------------------

JOSE MOURINHO

It is simple. You go to Barcelona

and terrorize their fans at their

stadium and leave a mark saying that

the special one has sent you.

CRISTIANO RONALDO

I am not sure about doing that sir.

The media could be all over me and

if I am caught I could be beaten

to death and you would lose a

great player, it would be a bad loss.

JOSE MOURINHO

I am the one that owns you, you

shall go. If you continue to

reject then Ozil will have to start.

--------------------------------------------

I believe I added too much in Cristiano Ronaldo's line. Only by having himself explain what the consequences could be. And too me, and not sure about others, it just doesn't sound right to me. I think it can be fixed by.. When Ronaldo leaves Mourinho's office, there is maybe someone else in the office whom was listening, maybe the assistant coach. By that, the assistant coach is the one explaining to Mourinho of the consequences and Mourinho doesn't change his mind about his decision. So, the assistant coach goes out and tries talking to Ronaldo, but neither does he change his mind because it's his job.

Freaks and Geeks Questions

1. I know that she is so confused about the way she is going. She feels bad, and she knows herself that even hanging out with her "friends" that she isn't even cool. At the end of the Halloween episode, she basically sees a picture of her and her mom in the past Halloween in costumes. And she ends up dressing up after all to help pass out candy to the kids with her mom.

2. The major plots are that, you realize you are doing the wrong thing when you let down or do something bad to your own family. Lindsay realizes that her "change" is for worse and that its not helping her at all. Sam also realizes that going out to Halloween was not so good of an idea.

3. In the end, they all come home and realize that their Halloween sucks. Sam notes that its just more important to read the book than to go out trick or treating. Lindsay realizes that what she is doing is wrong and that she isn't cool. That maybe, just maybe her old ways are a lot better.

Concept 10

1. Subjects that I know really well are, History, and soccer. That's about it. I think I could use these expertise in a film, by combining both of them together to make a historic soccer film, basically a non-fiction film.

2. (1) My resources available at home are... Google. (2) At the library, obviously books. And the internet, everything. (3)

3. Well, math seems to be the most simplest, since it has been done in movies in the past. I would prepare by watching other movies that relate to it, or even interview some teachers on how they teach the subject. I would also interview a majority of students to see what they didn't know before the school year started, and what they learned afterwards, and how the teacher would teach in their point of view in learning. Then I would simply demonstrate it by showing how it could be used in the real world in your future career.

Concept 9

1.The top three domestic films are: Avatar, Titanic, and The Dark Knight.
Lead character: Leonardo Dicaprio
Conflict: The Dark Knight
Setting: Avatar

These respective elements could easily be weaved together. Such as, Leonardo Dicaprio is in Pandora (Avatar) and is having conflicts with the Joker whom is running a criminal organization causing a bunch of problems with the military bases that are established in Pandora. Leonardo Dicaprio is of course, not able to walk and does the same thing that happens in Avatar. He gets on one of those flying animal things called, Torku to go around searching for the Joker. But it takes a while for Leonardo Dicaprio to find the Joker and has to fight other bad guys. But soon enough, Leonardo Dicaprio starts taking his own way and turns against his own people. He finally ends up finding the Joker and defeats him in an epic battle.
The audience would be ages 17+, whom enjoy adventure/action.

Concept 8

1. Reese Witherspoon is preparing to watch a football game at her house. She is preparing food, calling her friends for them to go over to her house. As she does that, Orlando Bloom knocks on the door. Playing as a crackhead, he mixes up the addresses, believing Reese Witherspoon's house is a crack house. He goes on rage mode, entering the house and smashing things. Reese Witherspoon is terrified, she offers the crack head a keyboard cleaner to get "high" off of. Orlando Bloom is satisfied when taking a few "hits" and calms down, they chat and realize they are actually good friends that have things in common. On his way to the door to leave Reese Witherspoon asks him if he would like to stay and watch the game with her and her friends. He agrees, and as he agrees Witherspoon's friends knock on the door and the scene fades to black.

2. Character: Doctor Setting: Prison Cell Prop: Notebook
The plot is, the Doctor is sent to prison for prescribing the wrong medicine to one of his patients whom eventually ended up dying. The doctor is in his prison cell writing in a notebook of what happened and what shouldn't of happened. He realized the huge mistakes that he made, he felt very bad to himself. He wrote many, many, pages about apologizing to the family of the patient. He wanted to mail his notebook out to them, but before he could do it he died in a prison riot. And he never had the chance to be forgiven.
